Oh baby boy. We’ve hit 4 months together and seeing you grow every week has been so cool. ⁣

Like how is a baby the size of an avocado 🥑 inside my belly!! He is about 4.5 inches and 3.5oz⁣
⁣
Cravings have been about the same. All the veggies and green juice. Salmon wilted green salads. Sour watermelon 🍉 candies. And sushi 🍣 and Thai food. And the occasional pint of pistachio ice cream. I have a feeling that this boy is going to be a good eater like his mama⁣
⁣
Only aversions are things that smell bad. ⁣
⁣
Symptoms about the same. Nausea at night. Less exhausted and less headaches. I’ve been really enjoying that little bit of extra energy. I’m hoping that once I’m off progesterone I’ll really feel that Second Trimester Energy. I’m starting to wear maternity clothes. Especially shorts because they are so comfy. ⁣

I haven’t get any movement yet. I think it’s just gas I’m feeling but we are pretty sure I have an anterior placenta so I’m not stressed about it. Just waiting for my anatomy scan so we can see little man again. I chose not to do a 16 week appointment because I get such bad anxiety before appointments and I’ve actually been feeling really positive this week so I’m sticking with that. ⁣

I never knew how much I could love someone that I haven’t even met yet...⁣

I knew I always wanted to be pregnant and have children but I never knew how I would actually handle my body changing. Many women do not enjoy their bodies changing during pregnancy, especially in a society that encourages us to always be fit or on a “diet”. ⁣
⁣
But honestly I’ve really enjoyed seeing my belly soften and grow. It still amazes me that there is a tiny human growing inside me and that my body is his home. It’s ok if you didn’t enjoy being pregnant, or you aren’t happy that your body changes. We all have a different experience. ⁣
⁣
I see the number climbing on the scale. I notice more cellulite on my legs. My workouts have definitely changed of what makes me breathless now. But you know what. I love every moment of it. I love the opportunity of growing my child. Because not everyone gets the chance too and that makes me so sad. So even on my worst days I am so thankful. Even with the number on the scale being the highest it’s ever been, and that my belly is getting rounder. I love being pregnant and even with the aches and pains that come with it I know it will all be worth it when I get to hold my little man in my arms. Especially when I know first hand how easily it can all be taken away ⁣

So keep on brewing baby K. You’ve still got some growing to do. ⁣
