If you have been following me for awhile then you know I moved to a little oasis in the Desert called Estrella Mountain Ranch. It is the perfect away from the hustle and bustle in the West Valley, yet close to Phoenix. As part of our community we have two lakes which I walk my dog around daily, Two residents clubs that each have a pool and a gym and a restaurant. We were drawn to Estrella Mountain ranch because of the amenities and the outdoor adventures of 50 + miles of trails. We did feel something was missing though, and that missing piece was Lucero. One thing I felt we were missing was a cute cafe where I could bring my dogs, sit outside and work from my laptop. My dogs are my world and being able to work from home so I can spend time with them means the world to me. Plus they love people and getting a bunch of attention. This past spring a new community opened called Lucero. Lucero brought us a new welcome center, an amazing cafe, Cafe Bebida, and Copper State Bike & Hike bike shop by Trek. I personally am not much of a bike rider, but with how many amazing trails we have it is great to have a place up the hill, that offers rental bikes, services, etc.

Cafe Bebida, is owned and operated by a resident family. They also own my favorite restaurant located in Starpointe Residence club, Lakeside Grill Estrella. Cafe Bebida has amazing mixologists who can craft any drink you can dream up of. My Favorite is the Nitro Cold brew with a splash of coconut milk and a pump of lavender, or if I’m not feeling caffeine I get a sparkling lemonade with raspberry. They have amazing pastry items, savory sandwiches, and salads as well, that come in gluten free as well. They offer gluten free bread which my tummy approves of, my favorite is the Turkey Pesto Toasti on Gluten free bread, mmm. I also love going and getting gelato as an afternoon snack, its light and creamy and not too sweet.

The best part about Lucero is that I can walk my dogs there, grab a coffee and a snack, hang out in the grassy area or snuggle up by a fire pit while I get some work done. It is also a great place to do some outdoor yoga

As a dog mom it is important for me to be able to socialize my dogs, so being able to bring them to Lucero and hang out or go hiking is super ideal. My dogs are more human like than dog like so we don’t venture to dog parks often. Another great thing about Lucero is that they will be opening Ladera Park which will have a splash pad, children’s play equipment and other fun outdoor spaces for families to make memories on. Another reason we chose Estrella as our home for our future family was how family friendly the area is, they hold many amazing events that we can’t wait to take our children, fur and human, too some day.
Lucero is located next to the Star Tower, where we love to go at night and see all the stars. Lucero also is where many of our new homes are being built. I love going to look at model homes and the homes in Lucero are definitely ones to be seen, there are 6 different builders. We are in love with a Richmond American home and they even offer a model that has a RV Garage.
