Today is National Rainbow Baby Day (August 22nd) a day many women wish to be celebrating after endearing a tragic loss of their baby. As you know I’ve lost multiple of my babies too soon. Although I am currently brewing a sweet rainbow boy that doesn’t take away the pain and sadness I’ll always have of what could’ve been. Through my losses writing has helped me put my feelings into words, and by sharing those I have connected with other mom’s who have suffered a loss as well. By connecting with others I have learned how others have felt about what they feel Miscarriage is.
Miscarriage is getting more love from a stranger than your best friend
Miscarriage is saying “Thank you” a million times because there is nothing else you can say
Miscarriage is wondering if you’ll ever hold your baby in your arms
Miscarriage is feeling guilty for drinking a glass of wine
Miscarriage is crying in a grocery line because a baby waved at you
Miscarriage is your eyes being so swollen from crying that you’ve run out of tears
Miscarriage is starting trying to conceive all over again
Miscarriage is wearing a rainbow 🌈 loud and proud
Miscarriage is turning into a person you don’t recognize
Miscarriage is telling someone you lose your baby, and then comforting them
Miscarriage is wondering the type of person your angel would’ve been
Miscarriage is wondering if your babe would’ve looked more like your husband or you
Miscarriage is repeating the same story over and over again praying it has a different ending
Miscarriage is always being scared while pregnant again.
Miscarriage is always looking for blood when going to the bathroom.
Miscarriage is having PTSD from your doctors office
Miscarriage is having anxiety attacks over and over again.
Miscarriage is being angry that THEY had an easy time getting pregnant and get to hold their baby
Miscarriage is being so scared that it’ll be positive, and being just as scared if it’s negative
Miscarriage is falling to your knees and praying that this one’s heart keeps beating
Miscarriage is feeling like you are not enough
Miscarriage is feeling that you are broken
Miscarriage is… a hard journey
Miscarriage is NOT a competition. Every miscarriage is a major loss, it is sad, and it is heartbreaking.
I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, although your heart is no longer beating, my baby you’ll be…
