I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about my makeup, and I am NOT a beauty blogger at all. The easier the better in my book. This whole glam look took an extra 3 mins than my normal day to day look, which normally takes under 10 mins.
First and foremost, I have eye lash extensions. I’ve had then for about 4 months and I absolutely love them, my husband loves them (not the price) and I love waking up and feeling confident going make up free because I look awake. My natural eyelashes are long, but they are blonde and straight, and don’t stay curled so the extensions are perfect for me. To each their own!
Ok now back to make up. I prefer to stick with natural non-toxic beauty, I’ve had trouble finding a good clean makeup that stays all day and doesn’t look like it is caked on. I’ve found something that works very well. I do believe that finding the right skin routine is a big part on having your make up sit pretty but we will go into that another day! I normally don’t believe that one company slays it on all their products but I’ve always loved Tarte. Per their website: all of our products are formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, synthetic fragrances and gluten.
Also it lasts. I’ve gone swimming in the pool, ocean, and lakes and my makeup stays, my mascara doesn’t run so that works for me. Also my skin looks natural and dewey, not caked on.
These are all it takes for me to go from a naked face to looking like I’ve got my shit together. I start with my favorite the Coola Primer, one it makes my skin feel like silk, but also it contains spf 30 and its a great product.
Next lets get to coverage, I do a full coverage because I naturally have a red tone due to my Irish heritage, and dark circles because of life. Shape tape is life, let me say that again. SHAPE TAPE IS LIFE, it has the best coverage. I us the color: fair light neutral. I am obsessed with face tape as well. When I have a spray tan I use color: medium beige, if I don’t have a tan I use light-medium neutral. The best part of purchasing from Ulta is that they allow you to come back and exchange products if the color doesn’t work or you don’t like the product!!
I then set this powder with the shape tape setting powder before moving on to contour, bronzer, highlight and blush. I use the Tarte pro glow to go in chisel for my contour, under my cheek bones under my lip, under my jaw bones, sides of my nose, and on my forhead. I then blend it with bronzer (solo) from the pro glow and blush palete. This is when I like to add highlight, during the day I use the Pro Glow & glow (Hi-Fi) if its at night I use burst from the to go kit. I put it on my nose, under my eyes, above my top lip and my forhead. For blush during the day I use burst, at night I mix burst and amp. I like that it gives me a deeper but still sun kissed glow.
For my eyebrows I use Busy gal brows in taupe, I like the natural look it gives me. My eyeshadow palete is old and I got for free in a gift set. But I linked some similar ones for you, Or I will use my highlight and bronzer. I rarely do eyeliner, but when I do I like the liquid end from the double end liner. Since I have eye lash extensions I only apply mascara to my bottom lashes. Spritz with Coola setting spray and add my favorite lip gloss in goals and I am done. My day to night isn’t too different. I’ll do a darker shadow and do eye liner, and a darker lip. I like to keep it simple
My favorite makeup brushes are from Maskcara You can purchase those by going to my girl Ashley’s website or my friend Cassidy’s website. I have had my masckara brushes for over 3 years and I love them. I’ve also linked some others below for you that also work well. Also I alter between a brush and beauty blender to blend my concealer and foundation. I do own the fan brush for highlight.
I love this makeup because again it looks great on my skin, and helps me feel confident which is all makeup should do: highlight your natural beauty!!
This is my favorite date night dress. It’s so flattering on all body and chest sizes. I’m in a medium.
Let me know if you have any questions about these or would like a video tutorial. Let me know what you try and how you like it!

Question. I love “your” new lashes and wonder if there is a particular process or product used that I could search for to help me locate a professional here in SoCal for the same amazing product/result. All I’ve been able to find are the usual toxic glued variety or tied varieties. Cheers to looking/feeling our best! XO Thank you!

Hi Sherry!!
I am asking my girls in San Diego if they know of anyone, are you in the San Diego area? or what part? I agree it is hard to find clean lashes!! I found my place because they were the only sugar company in AZ. But I would try to search for vegan lash extensions in your area. That might help!! XOXO
